This Old Pomeranian soap is based on a historical recipe from Szczecin.
Back in the day, during economically well-off times, there was enough cheap lard available on the market, which was often used to be processed into soaps. Lard soaps are characterized by a very stable foam and fine pores. Since pig fat has many similarities with human fat, the wellness effect on dry skin is superb.
This technique has been used for a long time, for example with calendula ointment, which was based on lard as well.
We have chosen our local rosehip oil as an over-fatting oil.
The soap is delicately scented. The fragrance reminds one of woodruff.
